March 16 is loaded with releases to keep your weekend busy

Movies

"Love, Simon" (March 16, Rated PG-13)

Based on the novel “Simons vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda,” “Love, Simon” follows Simon Spier (Nick Robinson), a closeted gay high school student, as he attempts to navigate the treacheries of high school. This includes balancing his family, friends and finding love with a classmate that he only knows by the online handle, “Blue.” Studded with an all-star cast featuring Jennifer Garner and Katherine Langford, “Love, Simon” is a coming-of-age story about finding yourself and looks to prove that everyone deserves a great love story.

"Tomb Raider" (March 16, Rated PG-13)

“Tomb Raider” follows Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft and is based on the video game franchise of the same name. When her father goes missing, Lara starts living a reckless, carefree lifestyle, until she discovers her father’s work on the mythical Queen of Yamatai, Himiko. Though a message from her father begs her to destroy his research on the subject, Lara digs deeper and sets off on a journey to solve the mystery of his disappearance.

"Bible of Love" (March 16, Snoop Dogg)

In 2017, Snoop Dogg hinted at recording a gospel album, stating in an interview, “It's always been on my heart. I just never got around to it because I always be doing 'gangsta' business or doing this or doing that.” “Bible of Love” will be released as a 32-track double album and features big names in gospel music like The Clark Sisters, Faith Hill and Tye Tribett. According to Snoop, “The record’s all about love from start to finish ... That’s the way you change the world, by putting love in it.”

Video Games

"Kirby Star Allies" (March 16) [Nintendo Switch]

In “Kirby Star Allies,” players control the game’s namesake pink protagonist along with up to three companions as they fight their way through levels against colorful bosses to take on a new menacing threat to their world. Players can either take on the challenge with three real-life friends, taking control of Kirby’s allies, or on their own by collecting allies along the way using Kirby’s new ability. This new release to the franchise focuses heavily on working as a team to complete levels and includes a feature to combine Kirby’s abilities with his allies’ to perform special attacks and different “Friend Actions” on specific stages.

"Devil May Cry HD Collection" (March 13) [PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC]

A special collection in the “Devil May Cry” series, this new release includes “Devil May Cry,” “Devil May Cry 2” and “Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Special Edition.” Long time fans of the franchise can relive the thrill of fighting their way through hordes of demons and other hell-born enemies as their favorite demon hunter, Dante, or any of the many other playable characters the game offers. Based on the trailers for this release, players can expect upgraded graphics and better resolution in the character models.
