Raising Cane's has announced its partnership with University of Hawai'i Athletics as a corporate partner and as the "Official Chicken of the Rainbow Warriors."
“We want to become an integral part in the community as we open restaurants throughout Hawai'i,” Raymond Yeung, area director for Raising Cane’s, said. “And this new partnership gives us a meaningful way to get involved and give back. We are all huge UH sports fans and are ecstatic to join the team.”
To celebrate the partnership, UH football head coach Nick Rolovich will be serving Raising Cane's chicken on Tuesday, Feb. 12 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the University/King Street location. During that time period, all UH students with a valid student ID will receive a free Box Combo. For the general public, there will be prizes and giveaways, with one lucky customer winning free Cane's for a year.
The multi-year contract with UH Athletics includes support that will benefit the 21 men's and women's sports teams and the academic success of over 500 student-athletes.
Raising Cane's plans to open more restaurants in Hawai'i to communities in Mililani, Kapolei and Hawai'i Kai over the next two years.
