The Blood Bank of Hawai‘i (BBH) always needs more blood.
The Bank will be at the Campus Center Ballroom tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to draw blood from 100-some students from the University of Hawai‘i. The event is sponsored by the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources.
Tyler Law, UHM blood drive coordinator, said the "Blood Bank is always at a near emergency level and UHM is one of their most important donation sites."
According to University Health Services, students can donate on a walk-in basis, but it is preferred that they make an appointment, either by calling the Blood Bank at (808) 845-9966 or signing up for a date at one of the tables located on the second floor of Campus Center.
If you can't make it to tomorrow's blood drive, another one will be held next Tuesday, March 16, at the executive dining room from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Other blood drawing sites on campus are in the executive dining room at Campus Center and at the blood mobiles located around Varney Circle, the law school, and the parking lot by Kuykendall Hall.
