The Associated Students of the University of Hawai‘i (ASUH) held their first executive committee meeting of the Spring semester Wednesday night to set the tone for the rest of the school year.
ASUH senators previously attended the opening day of the Hawai‘i state legislative session and will be following legislation as it affects the University of Hawai‘i throughout the semester.
The executive committee deferred a resolution regarding their auditing procedures to the general senate next week, as well as a bill to appropriate funds in support of a Pre-Health and Pre-Law workshop.
Applications for Spring Registered Independent Organization (RIO) funding also opened and are due January 29 at 4 p.m. Visit the ASUH website for more information.
Application packets for the ASUH Spring 2016 special elections are also now available and due Jan. 26. Elections will commence on February 12 and conclude Feb. 19. The two open senate seats are the College of Education and the School of Ocean, Earth Sciences and Technology.
