The Associated Students of the University of Hawai‘i (ASUH) held their final executive committee meeting of the semester where they discussed plans for spring 2016.
Next semester, the ASUH will begin weighing in on the selection of a new chancellor for UH Mānoa. Members of the ASUH and delegates from the UH Student Caucus will be meeting with UH President David Lassner to discuss the creation of an evaluation system for administrators called “Student Voice.”
The ASUH will be attending a meeting with faculty regarding a possible merger between the College of Arts and Humanities and the College of Language, Linguistics and Literature.
They will also be holding its “Sinclair Study Nights” during finals weeks to provide students studying late at Sinclair Library with snacks.
On Monday they will be serving pizza, musubis and milk tea. Tuesday will be Taco Tuesday, Wednesday will have chicken wings from Buffalo Wild Wings and Thursday will be tropical themed. Vegetarian options will be served on all days.
The ASUH office will be closed from Dec. 24 to Jan. 3. Funding applications for Registered Independent Organizations (RIO’s) open on January 1.
“On behalf of the ASUH 103rd Senate, we wish you a ... happy holiday season! Best wishes as you finish up the academic semester and head towards finals.
Kelly Zakimi, president of the ASUH”
