Big West Champions!

The Rainbow Wahine took sole possession of the 2019 Big West Conference title.

The Big West Conference Board of Directors announced today that all fall sports will be postponed through the end of the calendar year.

The Board recognized challenges and the fluidity of the pandemic as the main catalyst for the postponement.

The conference’s decision follows similar ones of many other conferences around the nation, most recently the PacWest making a similar decision earlier last week.

What does this mean? Our women’s soccer and volleyball season will be postponed to January, or until the Big West Board of Directors make a decision on when league competition will continue.

While we are heartbroken for our student-athletes, coaches, and fans we fully support this decision,” Athletics Director David Matlin said. “This is an extremely challenging time. However, by showing aloha and support for each other, I am confident that we will get through this together.”
