Food Vault Hawaii

Many shelves are stocked with non-perishable food essentials.

Food Vault Hawaii is open for students in need of food and toiletries, but supplies are low. The food vault is asking anyone who can donate non-perishable food or toiletries to do so in order to help students in need during the stay-at-home order.

According to FVH all donations will stay within the University of Hawaiʻi at Manoa’s student community.

FVH sent an email with a list of items in need including “non-perishable, unexpired food in its original, undamaged, manufacturer packaging.” The specific list includes: canned fruit and vegetables, canned protein, complete meals, rice and pasta.

Food Vault hours are as follow:

  • Mondays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • Thursdays 12 to 4 p.m.

  • Fridays 2 to 6 p.m.

To donate, contact the Office of Student Life and Development at or call (808) 956-8178, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except holidays. The office is staffed and can arrange a receipt for donations at Campus Center room 208 during regular business hours.

FVH is asking people to share this information with anybody who is willing to help address student food insecurity.
