From July 20 to Aug. 21, UH Mānoa will be hosting the “New Rainbow Warrior Orientation” online for incoming students and their families for the Fall 2020 semester.

Although COVID-19 has forced a change of tradition for the annual orientation normally hosted on campus, transfer students, incoming freshmen and their families will still be able to access resources and information for the upcoming semester over the five week virtual experience.

Each week will be dedicated to the following categories: Welcome/ Campus Spirit, Academic Success, Student Services, Campus Engagement and Life, and Week of Welcome and College/ Department Open Houses.

Included within these categories will be question and answer sessions, webinars and presentations, and opportunities to socialize with other participants as well as virtual campus tours.

Despite the changes, UH remains confident that the virtual experience will properly prepare students and their families for the coming semester.

“While there may be some uncertainty about Fall, one constant is our desire and commitment to welcoming all new students and their families. We are incredibly excited about the program our orientation team has developed and know all new students will feel prepared, connected, and ready for the first day of school,” Interim Vice Chancellor for Students Lori Ideta said.
