“I grew up here in Hawai‘i and I always wanted to go to UH so I’m just kinda making a dream come true. Plant science is a pretty big thing out here, we have a lot of indigenous species… The university here studies all these rare trees so I wanted to be a part of that program and hopefully learn more about plants in Hawai‘i.”
