All University of Hawai'i Athletic events have been suspended until further notice, according to officials.
This comes hours after UH President David Lassner's announcement Thursday morning that the university's move to online courses after spring break.
All teams participating in conference and non-conference play have suspended play and will return to Hawai'i effective immediately.
This means both the men’s and women’s basketball teams’ seasons are finished, as the Big West announced the cancellation it’s basketball tournament and spring sports.
Along with almost every conference cancelling their basketball tournaments, the NCAA announced the cancellation of March Madness and other national tournaments for winter and spring sports.
The No. 2 ranked UH men’s volleyball team, will also return to campus after its match at Pepperdine was moved on Tuesday.
All information about refunds for ticket holders will be forthcoming.
