Hawai'i freshman forward Amy Atwell led the Rainbow Wahine with 17 points and eight rebounds. 

Freshman forward Amy Atwell stole the show by scoring 17 points and eight rebounds to lead the University of Hawai'i women's basketball team to an 84-68 win over Northern Arizona in its home opener, and day one of the Rainbow Wahine Bank of Hawai'i Classic.

Atwell also made four steals and added eight rebounds to the chart, while hitting 8-of-16 attempts from the field. She helped the Rainbow Wahine to maintain a lead after a first quarter rally.

Senior Sarah Toeina contributed to 16 points, and shot 4-of-5 from the free throw line and added seven rebounds. Junior Lahni Salanoa hit 4-of-7 field goals, and 2-of-3 3-pointers to add 11 points, and sophomore Julissa Tago added 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting.

The Rainbow Wahine will face San Diego at 5 p.m. on Sunday.
