Hawai'i football head coach Nick Rolovich is expected to become the new head coach at Washington State University, confirmed by UH Athletics.
"Nick called me tonight to inform me that he accepted the Washington State job," UH Athletic Director David Matlin said in a statement. "Our football program is in a better place today because of Nick and we wish him all the best. Our search four our next head coach begins immediately."

Former Cougars head coach Mike Leach left the program after accepting the head coaching gig at Mississippi state last week.
Last year Rolovich received a two-year contract extension that would have lasted until 2022. Since the 'Bows qualified for a bowl game last season, he was expected to receive another extension through 2023.
Rolovich has a 28-27 overall record during his four-year tenure with the 'Bows.
His departure comes after days that quarterback Cole McDonald announced that he plans to forego his senior year and declare for the 2020 NFL draft.
