The University of Hawaiʻi and head coach Maureen Cole released the Womens’ Water Polo 2021 schedule Tuesday afternoon. The 11-game season will consist of only two series taking place on the mainland.

The Rainbow Wahine are coming off one of the greatest starts in program history, going 11-0 last year and then dropping the next two games against the No.1 and No. 2 teams in the nation, Stanford and UCLA respectively.

The spotlight will be on sophomore Alba Bonamusa Boix, the team’s lone first team All-American, coming off a 37-goal year to go along with 18 assists.

The Wahine will begin their season on the road this year against No. 10 UC San Diego on March 10-11, their first road start since 2017. They will then return to UH to host five straight home games against No. 4 UC Irvine and No. 14 Long Beach State.

After taking a short trip to No. 9 UC Santa Barbara, the Wahine will finish off the season against No. 16 UC Davis on April 23-24. The Big West tournament will then start on May 1 at UC San Diego, and the NCAA Championships will take place at UCLA on May 14-16.
