Warrior tennis player Felix Albert has earned the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America Division At-Large honor. He is the first men’s tennis player ever to earn the distinction.
27 of the 45 male athletes to earn this award have at least a 3.9 GPA, while 16 have a 4.0 or higher.
Albert is the second Warrior tennis player to earn CoSIDA honors, with Andreas Weber having been named to the all-District second team in 2008.
Albert is a junior and a finance and international business major from Karlstadt, Germany. This year he was one of five athletes with a 4.0 GPA or better.
As a tennis player, Albert was named to the all-Big West first team and earned multiple athlete of the week honors from the conference. Albert had a 3-2 Big West record and played 13 matches at the number one court and four at the number two court.
He was also the University of Hawai‘i’s Big West Scholar Athlete of the Year.
