Every month Netflix adds new TV shows and movies to its library, here is a list of some of the TV series or movies that you can expect to see this September.
Jaws - Sept. 1
The 1975 classic thriller and all of its sequels are going to be available Sept. 1. Amity Island’s Police Chief Martin Brody closes the beach in order to protect beachgoers from a great white shark. The closure of the beach ends up being overruled and is followed by a series of horrific shark attacks.
“Narcos” Season 2 - Sept. 2
This TV series is based in the 1980’s Colombian drug war and stars Wagner Moura as drug kingpin Pablo Escobar. This series is much anticipated by fans as everyone is anxiously awaiting to find out answers alluded to in season one.
“Audrie and Daisy” - Sept. 23
The documentary was first released back in January during the Sundance Film Festival and stars Audrie Pott, Daisy Coleman and Melinda Coleman. Two high school girls in different cities and states, Audrie and Daisy, whom were both sexually assaulted by boys that they both knew and considered to be their friends. Both girls attempted suicide after tremendous amounts of bullying through social media. Daisy survives and shares her story through the documentary film.
“Luke Cage” - Sept. 30
Based on the Marvel Comic character, Luke Cage is a superhero that has unbelievably powerful strength and unbreakable skin. Known as Power Man, Cage fights crime in the gritty streets of New York.
“Amanda Knox” - Sept. 30
Yet another documentary coming to Netflix is “Amanda Knox.” This documentary is about an American college student that was accused of killing her roommate while studying abroad and ended up spending four years in an Italian prison for the murder of Meredith Kercher, before she was acquitted. The documentary takes viewers through the history of the many cases and appeals, how Knox got released, and where she is at in her life after being wrongfully convicted of murder.
