The University of Hawaii watched as four of the first 13 games of the football season were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In this time of uncertainty, UH found a new opponent to start the 2020 football season, Robert Morris.
The Colonials are scheduled to come to the islands on September 26th, slated to be the season opener for the Rainbow Warriors as of now.
"I'm pleased we were able to fill one of our open dates with Robert Morris," Athletics Director David Matlin said. "With so much uncertainty surrounding the fall season, it was important to lock up a home game and try to salvage as close to a full schedule as possible.”
Robert Morris University, located in Pittsburgh, is competing as an independent this year in the FCS before moving to the Big South Conference in 2021.
